There were so many beautiful Modernist elements left on the Georg Manner designed MAXIM GORKIY (ex HAMBURG of 1969) when she sailed off to the breakers in early 2009. Among them were four enameled wooden tiles from the main passageway or "Galerie" that ran between the two stairtowers on Promenade Deck. Each sports its own distinctive pattern with gold highlights. Two are 35.25 inches long and two are 34 inches long and all four are 15.5 inches wide.

Panel 1 spent most of its latter years obscured by plant life in the passageway. It is in excellent condition but there is a small nick or two in the enamel on the bottom edge as shown in the lower of the two above images. 35.25 by 15.5 inches.***THIS ITEM IS SOLD***.
