These ottomans are iconic Cunard fixtures. I asked Kaushal to save every one he could find on board SALONA after her arrival at Alang in 2004. Sadly, most were in very poor condition, and to be quite honest, the few I have to offer are in just fair condition. It seems their final incarnation with the Soviets was not a gentle period in their existence and they were well used and worn down considerably. The wood veneer needs much attention and the connecting rods have long since disappeared. Underneath the Soviet upholstery, there may indeed be two layers of well worn Cunardia, if this is like the ones I have been able to dissect. The original covering was a patterned fabric and the latter day Cunard upholstery was a tan vinyl.

I am offering these "as is". Most probably, they are suited only for die hard Cunard fans or those with a penchant for restoration. Their "bones" are good and they are still sturdy and have a lovely form, but the wear and tear will need addressing and some improvisation.

This particular ottoman is stenciled "FRANCONIA A7", but there is a hammered-in stamp that reads A56, which is most likely the cabin it belonged to in its original IVERNIA incarnation.
