Both doors shown, including the grips and handles. One has a new aluminum handle added in Finland during the ship's rebuilding in the 1980s.

As rebuilt for Matson Lines (from a cargo ship) in 1956, the SS MONTEREY was the essence of American modern with very simple, clean interior spaces, such as these timeless, very solid glass and anodized aluminum doors. It's all about the hourglass grips!

The ship was refitted in Finland for Aloha Pacific Cruises and apparently the steel colored handle was added at that time as it appears to be of Finnish origin.
