S.S. PRINCIPE PERFEITO Ottoman (1961)

Dimensions: 18 Inches Wide by 14 Inches Deep by 18 Inches Tall

This wonderful mahogany-framed ottoman has a tan-colored piped leather seat and hails from the underrated PRINCIPE PERFEITO, the Companhia Naçional de Navegaçao flagship built to serve the Lisbon to Angola route. The PRINCIPE was one of the final passenger ships built by the famed Swan Hunter, Wigham and Richardson shipyard at Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and last served as the accommodation ship MARIANNA 9 for Greek billionaire John S. Latsis before heading off to the breakers at Alang in 2001. The still-largely original liner was filled with marvelous woodwork and fine British craftsmanship, of which these ottomans are an enduring example.
