These wonderful little fixtures were common during the transatlantic heyday in multi- berth cabin and tourist class staterooms when passengers had to climb into their upper bunk for the night. They “clip on” to the edge of the bunk and have a bottom latch that flips outward to help secure it to the lower berth. True AUGUSTUS fittings slathered in mahogany paintwork from their latter day MS PHILIPPINES era, they are beautifully constructed (most likely of teak) and have nickel plated brass hooks. Only four are available.
